This article details the participants' experience when being invited and joining a KUDO meeting from a laptop/desktop computer.
Being invited to a KUDO Meeting
There are 2 ways to be invited to a KUDO Meeting:
Option 1An automated email from the KUDO Meeting platform
|
Option 2A customized invite from the meeting organizer with the link to join
|
Option 1: Automated email invite
If the meeting organizer added your email as a participant to the meeting, you will receive an automated email with all the meeting details, including a “Join” button. You have the chance to add the meeting details to your calendar.
If the meeting organizer updates the meeting date/time or cancels it, you will also be notified with an automated email.
When meeting time comes, simply click on the “Join” button from the email, or on the KUDO Meeting link from your calendar invite, in order to access the joining page.
Option 2: Meeting link shared by the organizer
The meeting organizer may decide to share the KUDO Meeting link with you directly.
In this scenario, you will not receive an automated email from KUDO. When the time comes, simply click o the meeting link to access the joining page.
A KUDO Meeting link looks like this:
Joining a KUDO Meeting
1. Open the KUDO Meeting link
When clicking on the KUDO Meeting link, you are redirected to the meeting joining page. Enter your Display name and Email address and click on "JOIN".
Important notes: If you are the host of the meeting, make sure you enter the email address that the organizer used to assign you to this role. If the meeting is set with a restricted access ("Added user only" mode), you may be requested to enter your individual password.
2. Enter meeting PIN (optional)
If the meeting organizer has set a PIN code for the meeting, you are prompted to enter the PIN right after clicking on "JOIN". The PIN can be available on the automated email invite you received from support@kudoway.com. If you cannot find it there, please contact the meeting organizer. (The KUDO team does not have access to the meeting PIN code).
3. Pre-meeting test page
Your are directed to a pre-meeting page where you can configure and test your microphone, camera, speaker, and internet connection.
On the top of the screen, you can click on the globe icon to change your interface language. This does not select the interpretation language you want to listen to during the meeting, it will simply localize your experience on the KUDO Meeting platform.
