Participating in a multilingual meeting or webinar on Teams? Learn here how to engage in your preferred languages using the KUDO language selector.
Pre-requisite: in order to use the KUDO interpretation during a Teams meeting or webinar, you must be using a Teams business account.
Joining from Microsoft Teams Desktop App (on a computer)
- Join the Microsoft Teams meeting or webinar.
- Click on the KUDO icon on the top bar of the meeting interface.
- A KUDO panel will open on the right of your Teams interface.
- You can then select your preferred language from the dropdown.
As soon as you select your preferred language, you will start hearing the interpretation in this language.
If you select a Sign Language, you will see the camera of the sign interpreter showing on the KUDO panel. If the interpretation has not started or the language you selected does not need interpretation at the moment, you will see the message “Interpretation is not available right now”.
Important notes:
You must always keep the KUDO panel open in order to hear the interpretation. If you close the KUDO panel or click on another button like the ‘Chat’ or the ‘Participants’, you won’t be hearing the interpretation anymore. If this happens, click again on the KUDO button and select again your preferred language.
The KUDO interpretation is not available on the MS Teams web interface.
The KUDO interpretation is not available on MS Teams Live Event.
