  • Connect KUDO to Zoom or Google Meet

    Audience: Hosts and meeting organizers.

Link an external meeting to KUDO so attendees can access AI translation through the Mobile Link.

    Before you start

Create the source meeting, confirm matching schedule details, and check that External Meeting capabilities are enabled for your KUDO account.

    Steps

    1. Sign in to your KUDO Client account. Choose New Meeting, then AI Translation.
    2. Enter the session details. Enable External Meeting, choose the platform, and paste the source meeting link.
    3. Before the event, verify the Bot connection and attendee access with the Host.

    What to expect

The Bot joins the source meeting and shares a QR code for browser-based translation access.

    Connection checks

Have the Zoom, or Google Meet, host review recording permissions. If the Bot fails to join or disconnects, use Restart Bot Service; translation may pause during recovery.

Audience: Participants; Host assistance where indicated.

Use the KUDO Mobile Link alongside Zoom to follow translated speech and captions.

    Before you join

Select your headset in Zoom and your system sound settings. The organizer must connect KUDO to the Zoom meeting.

    What to expect

  • Integrating with ON24 Events

This guide walks through how to configure the KUDO Widget inside an ON24 event. By the end of this process, ON24 attendees will be able to access multilingual interpretation directly inside the ON24 attendee console through an embedded language selector experience.

Audience: Hosts, Producers, AV technicians, Operators, and meeting organizers configuring multilingual interpretation workflows for ON24 events.

    Before You Start

Before configuring the KUDO Widget for ON24, confirm that the KUDO meeting has already been scheduled, the Mobile Link URL has been generated, interpretation languages are finalized, ON24 webcast configuration access is available, and the ON24 Console Builder is accessible.

For the best attendee experience, test the ON24 console layout before the live event, verify that the widget dimensions are large enough to display the full language dropdown, test multilingual audio playback, and validate the full attendee workflow in Preview mode before publishing the webcast.

    Configuring the ON24 Event

    1. Create the ON24 webcast.
    2. Open the ON24 Console Builder and locate the URL Integration tool to embed the KUDO Widget directly into the attendee console.
    3. Go to Configuration and paste the KUDO Mobile Link into the URL field.
    4. Use Preview mode to test the full attendee experience before the event goes live.
    5. Once the event is live, participants can open the KUDO Widget directly inside the ON24 console and select their preferred interpretation language.

For the best listening experience, participants should mute the original ON24 webcast audio and listen through their selected KUDO interpretation channel. To return to the original webcast audio, select Original Audio inside the KUDO widget and unmute the ON24 webcast player.

    Troubleshooting

Issue / Task Possible Cause Recommended Action
KUDO widget does not appear inside ON24 URL widget not configured correctly Verify the KUDO Mobile Link URL was pasted correctly into the ON24 URL Integration tool
Language selector is cut off or partially hidden Widget dimensions are too small Increase the widget height and width inside ON24 Console Builder
Participants cannot hear interpretation audio Original webcast audio still active Mute the ON24 webcast player and verify a KUDO language is selected
Interpretation quality is inconsistent Poor source audio quality or unstable network Verify webcast audio quality and network stability

FAQ

  • Why Is There No Audio After I Scan the KUDO QR Code?

    Audience: Attendees.

A silent page does not by itself show whether the problem is your device or the session. Work through these checks one at a time.

    Check your phone first

    1. Confirm your headphones are connected and selected for playback. Check media volume while listening, and look for an unintended Bluetooth connection. Close all unnecessary apps.
    2. Confirm the page is the meeting’s Mobile Link and select an available listening language. If a playback prompt appears, follow it.
    3. Ask another attendee whether the same language is audible.

What does the result tell me?

If others hear the same channel, focus on your phone, playback, and connection. If several people hear nothing, ask the organizer to check the session, source audio, and language service. Also confirm whether the event provides spoken translation or captions only.

    Need Help?

Tell the organizer which phone, browser, language, and headphones you use, and whether captions are updating. These are isolation checks, not proof of a particular fault.

  • Do attendees need a Zoom account to access translation?

No. Attendees can access translated speech and captions directly from the Mobile Link using a supported browser or the KUDO Live mobile application.

  • Why is the KUDO Bot not joining my Zoom meeting?

The KUDO AI Bot may be unable to join a Zoom meeting if the Zoom meeting link was entered incorrectly, the Zoom meeting schedule does not match the linked KUDO Meeting, recording permissions are restricted, or the Zoom host has not approved the Bot to join.

If the issue persists, verify the Zoom meeting details and permissions, then relink the Zoom meeting in KUDO. As a final troubleshooting step, create a new Zoom meeting and reconnect it to the KUDO Meeting.

  • Do I Need to Install an App to Use KUDO Translation?

No, if you access translation through the KUDO Mobile Link. You can listen to translated speech and read multilingual captions in a supported smartphone or desktop browser without installing software.

How do I access translation in my browser?

Open the Mobile Link for your meeting or scan its QR code. Mobile Link access does not require a login. Choose your preferred language to follow the translation available for the session.

Does this apply to every meeting setup?

The no-install option described here is the browser-based Mobile Link. Depending on how your meeting is configured, KUDO may instead be available through an embedded app. Follow your organizer’s instructions for joining the meeting and accessing translation.

  • Why is the KUDO AI Bot requesting recording permissions in Zoom?

The KUDO AI Bot requires recording access in order to capture meeting audio for AI translation processing. Without recording approval, AI translation services cannot function.

  • What Are the KUDO Mobile Link and QR Code?

The KUDO Mobile Link gives attendees access to translated speech and multilingual captions in a supported smartphone or desktop browser. You do not need to log in or download software to use it.

The meeting’s QR code opens the same Mobile Link. Opening the link and scanning the code are two ways to reach the meeting’s translation experience.

    image.png

    How do I use them?

Open the Mobile Link provided for your meeting, or scan the meeting’s QR code with your smartphone. Choose your preferred language to listen to translated speech or read captions, according to the meeting’s setup.

Does this replace my meeting link?

For meetings hosted on an external platform, such as Teams or Zoom, join that meeting as instructed by your organizer. KUDO runs alongside the meeting platform to provide translation; the Mobile Link is your browser access to that multilingual experience.
