Choose the action based on what should happen to the term during the meeting. Use Recognize for terms that are often misheard, Replace to correct spelling, Block to hide a term, DNT to keep a term in its original language, and Translate as to use an approved translation.
Glossary actions
| Action | What it does | When to use it |
|---|---|---|
| Recognize | Helps speech recognition identify the term correctly. | Use it for terms that sound like other words, such as homophones, or terms that are often misheard, for example when spoken by non-native speakers. For example, it makes sure “stationery” isn’t recognized as “stationary.” Also use it to make sure terms you’ve added as DNT or Translate as are recognized. |
| Replace | Replaces a recognized word or phrase with text you specify. | Use it to correct frequent misspellings or enforce a preferred spelling. For example, “I triple R” becomes “IRRR.” |
| Block | Prevents the term from appearing in the output. | Use it for profanity or for sensitive or confidential terms. |
| DNT (Do Not Translate) | Keeps the term unchanged in translated output. | Use it for brand names, product names and other terms that should stay in the original language. For example, a feature name made of everyday words, such as “Live Insights,” stays in English in a French meeting instead of being translated as “Informations en direct.” |
| Translate as | Uses a specific translation of the term for a given target language. | Use it for approved terminology with an official translation, such as company or industry terms. |
