Link your Zoom, Google Meet or ON24 meeting to a KUDO AI Translation meeting. The KUDO bot joins your meeting and captures its audio, so attendees can follow AI translation through KUDO Mobile Link.
This guide is for hosts and meeting organizers.
Before you begin
- Create your Zoom, Google Meet or ON24 meeting. This guide calls it the source meeting. Have its link and scheduled time ready.
- Check that External Meeting is enabled for your KUDO account. If you don't see External Meeting when you set up the meeting, contact your KUDO Client Manager.
- Have your KUDO Client account credentials ready.
- Coordinate with the source meeting's host. If someone else hosts the source meeting, contact them before the event. The host must approve the KUDO bot when it joins.
Link your meeting
- Sign in to KUDO at https://live.kudoway.com/users/sign_in.
- Select New Meeting, then select AI Translation.
- Enter the session details. Use the same date and start time as the source meeting.
- Turn on External Meeting.
- Select the platform, then paste the source meeting link. For ON24, paste the event's attendee link.
Your KUDO meeting dashboard now shows the linked meeting.
The KUDO bot tries to join the source meeting 10 minutes before the scheduled start time.
Approve the KUDO bot
The KUDO bot joins the source meeting as an external participant, and the host must approve it. Without this approval, the bot can't access the meeting audio that KUDO needs for AI translation. In Zoom, this approval appears as a recording request.
Approve the bot automatically in Zoom
In Zoom, you can approve the bot's recording request automatically instead. In the Zoom web portal, go to Settings > Recording and turn on these settings:
- Record to computer files
- Allow external meeting participants to record
- Auto-approve recording permissions
Share translation with attendees
Once the KUDO bot joins, it shares a QR code in the meeting. Attendees scan the code or open the Mobile Link to follow translation in their browser. On a computer, attendees can open the Mobile Link in a browser and stay in the meeting at the same time.
In ON24, attendees can also follow translation in the KUDO Widget in the attendee console. See Add the KUDO Widget to an ON24 webinar.

Check the connection before the event
- Join the source meeting early.
- Check that the KUDO bot has joined the meeting.
- Open the Mobile Link and select a translation language.
- Speak into your microphone, and confirm that you hear the translation.
Troubleshooting
| What you observe | What to do |
|---|---|
| The KUDO bot doesn't join automatically, or it disconnects because of inactivity. | In the KUDO dashboard, select Restart Bot Service, or ask your KUDO Operator to do it. Translation pauses briefly while the bot reconnects, then resumes. |
| The bot is in the meeting, but translation isn't working. | Check that the host approved the bot when it joined. |
| The bot still can't connect. | Contact KUDO Support. |
