Embed the KUDO Widget in your ON24 attendee console so attendees can choose a language and listen to AI translation without leaving the event.
This guide is for hosts, producers, AV technicians, KUDO Operators and meeting organizers who set up ON24 events.
Before you begin
- Schedule the KUDO meeting and finalize its languages. This workflow supports AI translation.
- Connect the KUDO bot to your ON24 event. The KUDO bot joins the event and captures its audio for translation or interpretation. See Connect KUDO to Zoom, Google Meet or ON24.
- Copy the meeting's KUDO Mobile Link. You'll paste it into ON24.
- Create the ON24 webcast. Make sure you can access its configuration and ON24 Console Builder.
Add the KUDO Widget to the attendee console
- In ON24, open Console Builder for your webcast.
- Add the URL Integration tool to the attendee console.
- Go to Configuration, then paste the KUDO Mobile Link into the URL field.
- Resize the widget so the full language list is visible.
Test before you publish
- Open the webcast in Preview mode.
- Open the KUDO Widget and select a language.
- Confirm that you can see the full language list and hear the translated or interpreted audio.
- Check the full console layout as an attendee would see it.
- When everything works, publish the webcast.
How attendees listen in their language
Share these instructions with your attendees:
- Open the KUDO Widget in the ON24 console.
- Select your language.
- Mute the ON24 webcast player, so you hear only your selected language.
To return to the original audio, select Original Audio in the KUDO Widget, then unmute the ON24 webcast player.
Troubleshooting
| What you observe | Likely cause | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| The KUDO Widget doesn't appear in the ON24 console. | The URL Integration tool isn't configured correctly. | Check that the KUDO Mobile Link was pasted correctly into the URL field. |
| The language list is cut off or partly hidden. | The widget is too small. | In Console Builder, increase the widget's height and width. |
| Attendees can't hear their selected language clearly. | The original webcast audio is still playing. | Mute the ON24 webcast player, and check that a language is selected in the KUDO Widget. |
| Translation or interpretation quality is inconsistent. | Poor source audio or an unstable network. | Check the webcast's source audio quality and the network connection. |
| The problem continues. | Contact KUDO Support. |
