On the day of your meeting, approve the KUDO bot when it joins your Zoom or Google Meet meeting. Then share its QR code so attendees can follow AI translation through KUDO Mobile Link.
This guide is for hosts and meeting organizers.
Before you begin
- Link your Zoom or Google Meet meeting to KUDO. See Connect KUDO to Zoom or Google Meet.
- Make sure the meeting host joins early. The KUDO bot tries to join 10 minutes before the scheduled start time, and the host must approve it.
- Set up your audio device before you join the meeting.
Approve the KUDO bot
- Join the Zoom or Google Meet meeting.
- When the KUDO bot asks to join as an external participant, approve it. In Zoom, this approval appears as a recording request.
Without approval, the bot can't access the meeting audio that KUDO needs for AI translation.
To approve the bot automatically in future Zoom meetings, see Connect KUDO to Zoom or Google Meet.
Share translation with attendees
Once the KUDO bot joins, it shares a QR code in the meeting. Attendees use it to open KUDO Mobile Link and select a translation language:
- On a smartphone: Scan the QR code with the phone's camera. Translation opens in the phone's browser.
- On a computer: Open the Mobile Link in a browser and stay in the Zoom or Google Meet meeting at the same time.
- In person: At hybrid events, attendees in the room can scan the same QR code.

Troubleshooting
| What you observe | What to do |
|---|---|
| The KUDO bot doesn't join automatically, or it disconnects because of inactivity. | In the KUDO dashboard, select Restart Bot Service, or ask your KUDO Operator to do it. Translation pauses briefly while the bot reconnects, then resumes. |
| The bot is in the meeting, but translation isn't working. | Check that the host approved the bot when it joined. |
| The bot still can't connect. | Contact KUDO Support. |
