Who can use Marketplace for a Zoom meeting?
A client having at least a Zoom Business, Education or Enterprise account will have access to the multilingual option/language interpretation.
How can I enable interpretation on Zoom?
On your account, click on the following titles: Personal > Settings > Language Interpretation to activate or disable interpretation.
How can I add Marketplace to Zoom?
Go in your Zoom App Marketplace and search for KUDO. You will have access to all of the app information, and you will be able to install it. To access Marketplace and book a KUDO Pro Interpreter, you will need to log in or create an account.
Marketplace is a website application, not a desktop application.
Do I need to always open both Zoom and Marketplace?
You will need to have Zoom open only for the first time you are accessing KUDO Marketplace. You will need to be connected to Zoom on the same device as MKP. If not, MKP will open a window and ask you to log into Zoom, only for the first time. Then, you can use MKP on another device, and it will automatically sync with the Zoom account.
Zoom meetings are ingested in Marketplace.
How do I know if I have an account?
If it is the first time you are trying to use Marketplace and log into it, you will have to create an account. If you’re not sure to know if you have already used it, or if you are trying to log in with the right email address, you can type in the email address and supposed password. If ‘Incorrect username or password’ appears, you can click on ‘reset password’. If you do not receive an email in your mail inbox, it means you do not own an account yet. If you do, it means you simply forgot your password and you can now proceed to create a new one.
I’m already using the KUDO platform for my meetings; do I have an account on Marketplace to install it on Zoom?
If you are already a KUDO client, there will be a new set of credentials to join this platform. In MKP, we can create a client and add them using another email address other than the one they are using for KUDO Core. The client will receive an email from KUDO, and will be able to log in and change their password.
I’ve never used KUDO before, can I still use Marketplace on Zoom?
Yes, you can. If you are a new user, you will have to fill out a form that will be sent to KUDO. Once your request has been reviewed, you will receive an email from support@kudoway.com inviting you to confirm your email. Once on the Marketplace platform, you will have to click on ‘Forgot password’ for your first connection. This will allow you to set your password.
Do I need to create a meeting on KUDO and copy/paste a link in Zoom to link the interpreters to the meeting?
KUDO Meeting and KUDO Interpreter Marketplace are two distinct products that can work without the other. To find interpreters on Marketplace, you’ll need to read Question 2 and Answer 2 above.
Can I mix my own interpreters with interpreters found on Marketplace?
When creating a meeting on Zoom, you can click the last box to ‘Enable language interpretation’. Zoom allows you to manually add interpreters using their email addresses. When doing so, you can also select their language combination.
On Marketplace, once you have created a meeting, you can start booking interpreters. A dropdown menu will appear and you will have to choose between ‘KUDO’ or ‘In-house’ interpreters. By clicking ‘In-house’, you will be able to put your interpreter’s email address. If you select ‘KUDO’, your request will be sent and a KUDO interpreter will be booked.
How long before a meeting can I book interpreters?
Interpreters can be booked until two hours before a meeting starts.
How long before a meeting can I cancel it without being charged for interpreters?
You can cancel a meeting without any cost until 48 hours before it starts. If you cancel it between 48 hours and 24 hours before, you will be charged 50% of the total amount. If you cancel the meeting 24 hours or less before the meeting starts, you will be charged 100% of the total amount.
Where and how do I know who will be interpreting the meeting?
Once a KUDO Reviewer has validated your request and assigned an interpreter to your meeting, you will see their initials (for example: JS for John Smith) in the category ‘Interpreters’ of the selected meeting.
How can I get more information about the interpreter who was booked?
If you click on 'Interpreter Details’ and ‘Meet your Interpreters’ within this category, you will have access to the interpreter’s information such as:
- Surname and first letter of last name
- KUDO Pro Status
- Years of experience
- NDA
Can I choose the interpreters that will be assigned to the meeting if I’m used to working with someone?
If you are booking interpreters using Marketplace, you will not be able to choose who will be assigned to the meeting.
How do I communicate with interpreters?
There is not a chat option to communicate with interpreters. The only thing you can do is send them materials to prepare for the meeting, which you can do through the Marketplace website.
How can I send documents to interpreters?
Once an interpreter has been booked and assigned to your meeting, you will be able to send them documents by going into your Marketplace account. Select the meeting and click on ‘Interpreter Details’. You will be able to add preparation materials for interpreters here.
What type of documents can I add and send to the interpreters? What are the limitations?
You can share files and links with a maximum of 10 megabytes by uploading documents.
How many languages are covered on Marketplace?
We can add up to 20 languages in Zoom, but Marketplace currently covers nine languages: English, Spanish, French, Chinese, German, Japanese, Russian, Korean, Portuguese. English will always be the source language.
Is sign language supported?
Sign languages are currently not available on Marketplace.
How do I pay interpreters?
When you begin using Marketplace, you will have to charge your wallet. Every time you book an interpreter, the amount will be deducted from this wallet. Everything happens on Marketplace.
Once interpreters are booked on Marketplace, do I need to manually add them in my Zoom meeting details?
In order to use Marketplace and book interpreters, you need to allow Marketplace to access your Zoom meetings information, which means that your Zoom meeting information will automatically be updated in your Zoom interface. The booked interpreters’ email address and language combinations will appear both in Marketplace and Zoom.
Can I directly create a meeting on Marketplace? Will it be automatically created on Zoom too?
Yes, you can create a meeting on Zoom, and then use Marketplace. Everything on Marketplace will automatically sync with Zoom.
