No. You can't currently copy or transfer a glossary from one KUDO account to another. To use the same terms in another account, create the glossary in that account and import the terms.
Reuse your terms in another account
If you keep your terms in import files, you can reuse those files in another account:
When you use the KUDO app in a Microsoft Teams meeting, you choose the meeting's glossary in Teams, from My glossaries in the KUDO meeting interface. If you don't choose one, the meeting uses your account's default glossary. You can't create glossaries, edit them or add terms from Teams. Do that in the KUDO platform first.
Choose a glossary for your Teams meeting
Choose the glossary before the meeting starts. You can do this ahead of time from the meeting in your Teams calendar.
Open the KUDO meeting interface in Teams.
Go to My glossaries.
In the glossary list, select the menu button next to the glossary you want.
Select Use for this meeting.
Each meeting uses one glossary. If you skip these steps, your account's default glossary applies automatically.
Important: Glossary changes don't apply during a live Teams meeting. Finish your glossary and choose it before the meeting starts.
Manage glossaries and terms
Create glossaries and add terms in the KUDO platform, under My glossaries. Only users with the Client role can create and edit glossaries. For instructions, see Create a glossary and add terms in KUDO.
Which glossary actions work in Teams meetings?
It depends on the translation type you chose when you set up the KUDO session:
Translation type
Available glossary actions
AI Speech & Captions
Recognize, Replace, Block, Do-not-translate, Translate as
Yes, in most meetings. While a meeting is live, a user with the Client role can add terms to the glossary in use, change the glossary used for the meeting or remove it. To apply your changes, restart translation when KUDO prompts you.
Live glossary changes aren't supported in meetings that use the KUDO app in Microsoft Teams.
What you can change
Add terms to the glossary in use. For example, if a speaker mentions "KUDO Mobile Link" and it isn't in your glossary yet, add it with Do-not-translate.
Change the glossary used for the meeting.
Remove the glossary from the meeting.
Make these changes in My glossaries. Only users with the Client role can make them.
Apply your changes
Your changes take effect after translation restarts. When you update the glossary during a live meeting, KUDO prompts you to restart translation.
While translation restarts, speech translation and captions pause briefly. They resume automatically after about 5 seconds. To limit the impact on attendees, consider restarting during a natural pause, such as between speakers.
Meetings on other platforms
You can also update glossaries during live meetings that use KUDO through an external integration, such as Zoom, Webex, ON24, Google Meet or Microsoft Teams (non-native integration).
Translate as is available in the 32 languages listed below. All other glossary actions (Recognize, Replace, Block and Do-not-translate) work in all languages.
Translate as is available only in meetings that use AI speech and captions.
You can create an unlimited number of glossaries and apply one glossary to each meeting. Each glossary action has its own term limit, and the limits apply to each glossary separately.

How terms are counted
Each glossary has its own count. Terms in one glossary don't count toward the limits of another glossary.
Each term entry counts as one term. For example, if you add "KUDO" for all languages in a single entry, it counts as one term.
Translate as counts entries, not individual translations. Think of each entry as one row. A row can include translations in up to 32 supported languages and still counts as one entry. For example, one entry for "Client Manager" with French, Spanish and Japanese translations counts as one entry.
Only terms in the meeting's languages apply. A meeting uses only the glossary terms that match its languages, and only those terms count toward the meeting's limits. For example, terms with English as the speaking language aren't applied in a meeting that uses a different source language.
To see how many terms a meeting uses for each action, open the meeting's My glossaries tab and check Terms in this meeting.
Daily limit for Generate terms
The daily limit of 1,000 AI-generated terms is shared across your account. It resets every day at 00:00 UTC, regardless of your local time zone.
When you reach a limit
You can't import a file that exceeds the limits. To stay within them, always use the KUDO import template, because its cells are restricted to the supported limits.
No. When you use KUDO through an external meeting integration, the glossary settings you select on the KUDO platform apply automatically. You don’t need to configure the glossary again on the other platform.
This applies to these external integrations:
Zoom
Webex
ON24
Google Meet
Microsoft Teams (non-native integration)
To make changes to your glossary or its terms, go to the KUDO platform.
Glossaries help KUDO handle the specific terms used in your meetings, such as product names, technical vocabulary and approved translations. This guide shows you how to create a glossary and add terms to it, one at a time, from a file or automatically.
Before you begin
You need the Client role. Only users with the Client role can create and edit glossaries.
Terms: Lists every term across your glossaries, with its action, glossary, language and dates. Use the action filters at the top, such as Recognize or Replace, to show only the terms for one action.
Glossaries: Lists your glossaries. Your account's default glossary is labeled Default glossary.
Create a glossary
On the My glossaries page, select the Glossaries tab.
Select Create glossary.
Enter a Glossary name, for example "KUDO Products & Services." This field is required.
Optional: Add a Glossary description to explain what the glossary is for.
Optional: To create another glossary right after this one, select Create another glossary.
Select Save.
Your new glossary appears on the Glossaries tab. To see its terms, select its name. The glossary page also shows how many terms each action contains and that action's limit.
Add a single term
On the My glossaries page, select New terms > Add term.
Under Glossary action, select the action for the term.
Complete the fields for that action:
Action
Fields to complete
Recognize, Block or Do-not-translate
Term and Speaking language
Replace
Term, Speaking language and Replace with
Translate as
Under Translations, select a language and enter the term in that language. To add more languages, select Add translation.
In Add to glossary, select the glossary.
Optional: To add another term right after this one, select Add a new term after saving current one.
Select Save.
Speaking language is set to All languages by default. If the term already exists in the selected glossary for the same language, a notification appears and the term isn't added.
Import terms in bulk
On the My glossaries page, select New terms > Import terms.
Under Glossary action, select the action. Each import adds terms for one action.
Select Download template, then complete the template. The layout depends on the action:
Action
Template layout
Recognize or Block
Term in column A. Source language in column B (optional). No header row.
Do-not-translate
Term in column A. No header row.
Replace
Original term in column A, replacement in column B, source language in column C. No header row.
Translate as
One language per column, with language names in row 1. Each row below row 1 is one term with its translations. You can leave language cells blank.
Add your terms in one of two ways:
Select Click to upload, or drag your file into the upload area.
Select Or paste data directly, then paste your data.
In Add to glossary, select the glossary.
Select Import.
File requirements:
Use the XLSX format, and always start from the KUDO template. Its cells are restricted to the supported limits.
You can't import a file that exceeds the glossary limits.
Don't use commas in entries.
For Recognize, Block, Do-not-translate and Replace, each term can have up to 12 words or 100 characters.
For Translate as, enter only one translation per term per language.
If your import includes duplicate terms
A message identifies each affected row, for example "Row 3 – Duplicate term in import." Remove those rows from your file, then upload it again.
Generate terms automatically
KUDO can suggest terms based on a topic you describe. Generated terms can use the Recognize, Translate as or Do-not-translate action.
On the My glossaries page, select New terms > Generate terms.
Under Glossary action, select Recognize, Translate as or Do-not-translate.
Select the language:
For Recognize or Do-not-translate, select the Speaking language.
For Translate as, select one or more languages in Glossary language(s).
In Topic or industry, describe the subject of your meeting, for example "KUDO product webinar on new features for multilingual meetings." This field is required.
Use the Number of terms slider to choose how many terms to generate, from 10 to 100. Your account's usage against the daily limit appears above the slider.
Optional: Under Reference sources, select Add text and paste text related to your topic. Files and URLs aren't supported yet.
Select Generate terms.
Review the suggested terms. You can edit or deselect any term before you add the terms to your glossary.
Terms that are already in your glossary appear unchecked, and you can't add them.
Confirm your terms
On the My glossaries page, the Terms tab lists your new terms with their action, glossary and language. To check how close a glossary is to its limits, open it from the Glossaries tab. It shows the number of terms for each action, for example Recognize 1/500.
A glossary helps KUDO handle the terms that matter in your meetings, such as product names, acronyms, speaker names and approved translations. This guide takes you through setting up your first glossary, from collecting terms to having it ready for your next meeting.
What a glossary does
A glossary is a list of terms. For each term, you choose an action that tells KUDO what to do with it during a meeting.
If you want to…
Use this action
Make sure a term that's often misheard is recognized correctly, for example "KUDO" heard as "kudos"
Recognize
Correct a spelling or enforce a preferred one, for example “mobilink” becomes “Mobile Link”
Replace
Keep a term out of the output, such as the name of a product that hasn't been announced yet
Block
Keep a name in its original language, for example "Live Insights" stays in English in a French meeting
Do-not-translate
Use an approved translation in a specific language, for example your approved French title for "Client Manager"
Translate as
Do-not-translate and Translate as work only in meetings that use AI speech and captions. Human interpretation meetings and AI captions-only meetings support Recognize, Replace and Block.
Select the Glossaries tab, then select Create glossary.
In the Create a glossary window, enter a Glossary name, for example "KUDO Product Webinar."
Optional: Add a Glossary description, for example "This glossary is for all KUDO product presentations and webinars." The description appears under the glossary's name, which helps you tell glossaries apart.
Select Save.
Your glossary appears on the Glossaries tab. To open it, select its name. You can create as many glossaries as you need, for example one for each event, department or subject.
Step 3: Add your terms
Open your glossary, select New terms, then choose the option that fits your list.
Option
Best for
What to know
Add term
A few terms, added one at a time
Choose the Glossary action, enter the term, then choose the glossary in Add to glossary. You can add the same term to more than one glossary at once.
Import terms
Long lists
Each import adds terms for one action. Select Download template, fill it in, then upload it or select Or paste data directly.
Generate terms with AI
Finding terms you might miss
Works with Recognize, Translate as and Do-not-translate. Describe your topic in Topic or industry. Optional: Select Add text and paste related content, such as your agenda or speaker script. KUDO suggests terms, and you review, edit and deselect them before you select Add terms. Terms already in your glossary are skipped.
You don’t need to add Do-not-translate or Translate as terms to Recognize for them to work. If one of these terms isn’t recognized correctly in a meeting, add it with Recognize too.
Each meeting uses one glossary, so put all the terms for a meeting in the same glossary.
You choose the glossary from your meeting's page, after you create the meeting.
In the left menu, select My meetings, then open your meeting.
Select the My glossaries tab.
Find the glossary you want. To narrow the list, use Search glossaries or the action filters.
Select the menu button next to the glossary, then select Use for this meeting.
The glossary is now labeled Use for this meeting. Under Terms in this meeting, you can see how many terms the meeting uses for each action, compared with the limit.
Only terms that match the meeting’s languages apply to the meeting and count here. If a count is lower than you expect, check the speaking language of your terms. If you don't choose a glossary, your account's default glossary, labeled Default glossary, is used for the meeting, including in Microsoft Teams meetings.
Zoom, Webex, ON24, Google Meet and other external integrations: The glossary you choose for the meeting on the KUDO platform applies automatically. You don't need to set it up again on the other platform.
KUDO app in Microsoft Teams: You choose the glossary in Teams, from My glossaries in the KUDO meeting interface.
Open your glossary to see each term with its action and language. To show one action at a time, use the filters at the top, such as Recognize or Replace. Each filter also shows how many terms the glossary has for that action, compared with the limit.
If you use the KUDO app in Microsoft Teams, finish your glossary before the meeting starts, because live changes don't apply in Teams. On other platforms, you can add terms during the meeting.
Here's how the steps above come together for a sample meeting.
The meeting: A KUDO webinar called "What's new for your multilingual meetings." The speaker presents in English, and attendees follow in French, Spanish and Japanese. The meeting uses AI speech and captions, so all five actions are available.
The glossary: "KUDO Product Webinar," with the description "This glossary is for all KUDO product presentations and webinars."
From the speaker's script:
Good morning, everyone, and welcome. Today we'll look at three things. First, the new glossary in KUDO AI. Second, how your attendees can follow along on their phones with Mobile Link. And third, a quick preview of Live Insights.
If your meeting runs on Zoom, Webex or ON24, the glossary you choose on the KUDO platform carries over automatically.
Before we start, thank you to the Client Managers who helped prepare today's session.
Add the key terms
Start with the terms you already know need attention, using Add term:
Term
Action
Why
KUDO
Recognize

Client Manager
Responsable client
Gerente de cuenta
クライアントマネージャー
These translations are examples. Use the translations your organization has approved.
Let KUDO suggest more terms
Next, use Generate terms with AI to catch terms you might have missed:
Select New terms > Generate terms with AI.
Select an action.
Select Generate terms.
KUDO suggests terms from the script, such as Zoom, Webex and ON24. Terms that are already in the glossary are marked and skipped.
Review the suggestions, deselect any you don't need, then select Add terms.
